  • HELP TO CONTINUE OLLY'S DREAM OF HELPING OTHERS TO RELEASE THEIR NEGATIVE ENERGIES POSITIVELY AND CREATIVELY

Planetnickolly was originally created by Nicole Dennis and the late Oliver Swabey in order to assist them in releasing their own negative mental illness symptoms via creative outlets such as writing, drawing, acting, self expression,

in fact any ability that was artful and positive as a release for symptoms such as mania, anxiety, psychosis and depression. Planetnickolly was originally created as a website and chat address. Oliver and Nicole found each other in a pro-suicide chat room and after discussion with Oliver agreed that this was negative release and that mentally ill people needed a positive chat room/outlet.
We engaged twenty-three people across the globe within 3 weeks of uploading the website.

Unfortunately Oliver was very ill and had attempted suicide not long before meeting Nicole. Planetnickolly allowed Oliver to release as much of this feeling as he could by creating and helping to construct a new planet (so to speak) where release was promoted rather than the negative self harm that he was used to. \
This allowed Oliver 7 more months of life, after which he surrendered to the symptoms and finally took his life.

Ever since Olivers passing Nicole has continued all and every project and idea started by Oliver. Unfortunately the Coca Coca Leadership Program that funded planets projects materially etc. ceased shortly after that day we will not soon forget. Nicky and the other many talented individuals of Planet nickolly have recently had to face the possibility of no longer being able to afford to continue our work.

THIS HOWEVER HAS NEVER BEEN AN OPTION.

We have recieved small contributions from friends of the planet
but this is as much appreciated as it is gone as soon as we have the funds. At present we owe to various local businesses a total of $1,560. We are at present all gathering together to put a call out for contributions to the running of administration, materials for arts projects and hire of private space for exhibition. As Planetnickolly is a not for profit group and consist of
volunteers who would not usually be able to work due to mental illness, we are constantly creating spaces, printing pamphlets and anything else we are capable of doing to raise funds to 'keep the planet spinning'.

Planet has been able to assist over 40 members of ourthe local community here in Wollongong and we would love to continue to do so in Olly's name.
